  • Really, whatever the office visit is, you have to pay for... Hell, I went in for a physical that was supposedly FREE once a year and when the thing was sent in they went through and said half the bloodwork was not included and it was charged to me. And this was a supposed routine physical...

  • Each state is different. Texas only offers one carrier with about 3 different scales. Some states still have HMO... No co pay. You pay everything for the first 2500... That is why it is called deductible. Then 80/20 next 2500, for two people, out of pocket max 10K.

  • What, Wally world did not give it away? The insurance is walmart insurance backed by blue cross... No co pays... 2500 ded. then 80/20 until 5K for one person, family coverage, same ded, on spouse for total 10K out of pocket...

  • some kind of Wally world insurance backed by blue cross... And the reason rates were not stopped is because we were offered a low cost alternative (also blue cross) but it has a 12000 deductible... When most of the employees make less than 25K how can you justify a 12.5K deductible?

  • Technically it does not cross state lines. Each state is regulated separately. That is why a company like Walmart cannot do what the federal government can do for it's employees and that is negotiate rates for all of its employees as a whole.

  • Not where I work and we are only offered from one agency. The numbers are our employees and ours alone and may not reflect your numbers, but we are getting screwed no matter which way this decision goes.

  • Are you not paying for it now? I do not know about you but the premiums have tripled and the out of pocket and deductible have quadrupled. They are effectively pricing all but the wealthy into their own program...
